Biography: Michael Perlman has practiced family law and general litigation for 30 years. Mr. Perlman handles all areas of divorce, custody, paternity, and appeals, as well as general legal disputes, wills, and estate planning. He has been named a Minnesota Super Lawyer by Minnesota Law & Politics and Mpls St. Paul magazines since 2001 and a top 40 family law lawyer in Minnesota in 2004. Michael subspecializes in grandparents' rights and parenting rights among same-sex couples. He has successfully represented clients before the Minnesota Supreme Court in both of these areas. Michael is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and teaches and lectures on various family law topics. A Minnesota Twins batboy in the 1960s, Michael enjoys baseball, scuba diving, and travel. He has lived in Mexico and Brazil and speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
